Note that per Apple manufacturer specifications, memory can’t be upgraded on (a) many Mac systems made after mid-2012 and (b) retina-based models. 32gb would be the safer option but that is a loooooooot (and frankly I doubt there is any noticeable difference, pls correct me if I am wrong).
